wedding shower planning

Wedding favors aren't just a little souvenir of the wedding. They're also a token of appreciation to the guests for their efforts in attending the ceremony or reception and for their love and support. As such, favors come in all shapes and sizes, can be lavish or inexpensive according to what the couple can afford and can be themed in almost any way to complement the overall design of the wedding itself.

The habit of giving favors to wedding guests goes back many generations and varies according to different national customs. Nowadays there is a vast range of possibilities for wedding favors to suit every taste and pocket Couples can choose favors to complement their wedding design, shopping with specialist online merchants or using their imagination and creative skills to make their own.
If you are creative you may want to design the wedding shower yourself. Look for ideas in wedding shower books at a bookstore or library and get going. Choose a color theme and plan the entire wedding shower around that color. You could use a garden theme idea or maybe a bride and groom theme. Coordinate your invitations and decorations around the theme. Just make sure you start the wedding shower planning early enough so you can get everything done.

Maybe the thought of planning and giving the whole wedding shower is too much for you. If this is the case you can still succeed. Enlist the help of a friend or family member or use the services of a party planner. Either option will take some of the wedding shower responsibilities from you and spread them around a little.

bridal favors token of appreciation

The wedding favors do not need to be elaborate or expensive; they are just a token of appreciation from the bride and groom to the wedding guests. Simple gifts such as a mixture of candies wrapped in colorful netting, miniature candle or small knick-knacks that the guests can take home are appropriate gifts. In addition to the token favors, if you have placed flowers on each table, you can offer each couple one of the flowers to take home with them, or you can place a sticker with a number underneath some of the chairs, and those that have the chair with the sticker can take home a flower.

The idea behind the bridal favors is not for the bride and groom to shop for anything expensive, but just something small. The favors can even be a single artificial flower, card with own design of our wedding picture or some other token of appreciation. You don’t want to divert attention away from yourselves to the guests by the size of your favors, but just show that you noticed their presence and are happy they chose to share this special day with you.
